- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets for all assigned projects within the portfolio.
- Oversee the execution of projects from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to established processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their project requirements and develop customized project plans to meet their needs.
- Effectively communicate project updates, progress, and potential risks to stakeholders and senior management.
- Manage and allocate resources, including team members, equipment, and materials, to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential project roadblocks and issues, and take necessary action to keep projects on track.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and provide detailed reports to stakeholders on project progress, budget, and timelines.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, providing guidance and support to project team members as needed.
- Monitor project expenses and ensure they stay within budget, making cost-saving recommendations when appropriate.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve project delivery processes and procedures.
- Mentor and coach project team members to develop their skills and enhance their performance.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Represent the company and act as a point of contact for clients during the project delivery process.
- Continuously evaluate project outcomes and identify areas for improvement to enhance future project delivery.
Relevant Education And Experience: A Project Manager - Portfolio & Delivery At First Data Should Have A Bachelor's Degree In Business, Project Management, Or A Related Field. They Should Also Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In Project Management, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Delivering Complex Projects.
Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial For A Project Manager - Portfolio & Delivery At First Data. They Should Be Able To Clearly Articulate Project Goals, Timelines, And Progress To Stakeholders At All Levels, Including Senior Management.
Leadership And Team Management: As A Leader Of Multiple Projects, A Project Manager - Portfolio & Delivery Should Have Excellent Management Skills To Oversee Project Teams, Delegate Tasks, And Motivate Team Members To Meet Project Objectives.
Strategic Planning And Problem-Solving Abilities: A Successful Project Manager - Portfolio & Delivery Should Be Able To Identify Potential Risks And Develop Contingency Plans To Mitigate Them. They Should Also Possess Strong Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills To Make Strategic Decisions That Align With The Company's Goals.
Technical Knowledge And Proficiency: First Data Utilizes Various Project Management Tools And Methodologies. A Project Manager - Portfolio & Delivery Should Have A Strong Understanding Of These Tools And Processes To Effectively Manage Projects And Ensure Their Successful Delivery. They Should Also Have A Good Understanding Of The Technology And Systems Used Within The Organization.
