- Design and implement security solutions for mainframe systems in accordance with industry best practices and company policies
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential risks and threats
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines for mainframe systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of system development and maintenance
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and provide timely resolution and root cause analysis
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date on emerging security threats and technologies to continuously improve the security posture of mainframe systems
- Provide training and support to other team members to enhance their understanding of mainframe security measures and protocols

- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing to ensure the resilience of mainframe systems in case of any security incidents
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and partners to ensure the security of mainframe systems within the company's ecosystem.
Extensive Knowledge Of Ibm Mainframe Systems And Security Protocols: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Mainframe Hardware, Operating Systems, And Security Features Such As Racf, Acf2, And Top Secret.
Experience In Implementing And Maintaining Mainframe Security Controls: This Includes Setting Up User Access, Defining Roles And Permissions, And Configuring System Audit Trails To Ensure Compliance With Industry Regulations.
Proficiency In Security Risk Assessment And Management: The Mainframe Security Engineer Should Be Able To Identify Potential Vulnerabilities And Develop Strategies To Mitigate Risks, As Well As Conduct Regular Security Audits And Penetration Testing.
