  8. Mentor and train junior team members on mainframe technologies and best practices.

  11. Conduct performance tuning and optimization of mainframe systems.
  12. Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners to integrate new technologies into existing mainframe systems.
  13. Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of mainframe systems.
  14. Adhere to project deadlines and deliver high-quality solutions within budget.
  15. Maintain a strong understanding of business objectives and align mainframe architecture accordingly.

  • Expert Knowledge Of Mainframe Architecture: A Mainframe Architect At First Data Must Possess Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Designing And Implementing Mainframe Systems, Including Hardware, Software, And Networking Components.

  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: As A Mainframe Architect, One Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Systems And Identify Potential Issues Or Inefficiencies. This Requires A Strong Ability To Troubleshoot And Find Effective Solutions.

  • Project Management Experience: First Data's Mainframe Architects Are Often Responsible For Leading And Managing Large-Scale Mainframe Projects. Therefore, Candidates Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successful Project Management And The Ability To Meet Tight Deadlines.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: In Addition To Technical Expertise, Mainframe Architects Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate Complex Information To Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders. This Includes Presenting Proposals, Documenting Systems, And Providing Training And Support.
