Mainframe Applications Support

At First Data, we are looking for a talented Mainframe Applications Support professional to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mainframe application technologies and have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues. The successful candidate will bring a mix of technical and customer service skills to the role, as well as the ability to think on their feet in a fast-paced environment.The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications: a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field; a minimum of 3 years of experience in mainframe application support, including experience with Cobol, JCL and DB2; strong knowledge of mainframe operating systems; and excellent customer service and communication skills. Responsibilities:

1. Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to mainframe applications.
2. Monitor mainframe operating systems for any potential problems or errors.
3. Maintain and update customer databases.
4. Provide technical guidance and support on mainframe application technologies.
5. Utilize problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address customer issues.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
7. Communicate effectively with customers to provide solutions and technical support.
8. Follow up with customers to ensure their issues have been successfully resolved.
9. Ensure system security for customer data.
10. Assist in developing and implementing system updates and enhancements.
