- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's cyber and technology control frameworks.
- Oversee and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals responsible for conducting assessments and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks to the organization's assets and data.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to cybersecurity and technology control assessments.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the security of the organization's systems and data.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
- Analyze and report on assessment results, providing recommendations for remediation and risk mitigation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to ensure the organization's technology systems are secure and compliant.
- Lead and participate in incident response and crisis management efforts related to cybersecurity and technology control.
- Train and educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and the importance of adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely completion of assessments and remediation efforts.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership and other stakeholders to provide updates on the status of assessments and compliance efforts.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the organization's cybersecurity and technology control frameworks to adapt to a constantly evolving threat landscape.
- Foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness and compliance throughout the organization.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity and technology control assessments, providing guidance and support to other teams as needed.
In-Depth Understanding Of Cyber Security And Technology Control Frameworks: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Industry-Standard Frameworks Such As Nist, Iso, And Cobit, As Well As Emerging Trends And Best Practices In Cyber Security And Technology Control.
Extensive Experience In Conducting Control Assessments: The Director Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Conducting Comprehensive Control Assessments Across Various Technology Domains, Including Infrastructure, Applications, And Data Security. They Should Also Have Experience In Identifying Control Gaps And Recommending Remediation Measures.
Strong Technical Background: This Role Requires A Strong Technical Background In Areas Such As Network Security, Data Protection, And Cloud Security. The Director Should Have The Ability To Understand And Analyze Complex Technical Issues And Communicate Them Effectively To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
Leadership And Management Skills: As A Director, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team Of Cyber And Technology Control Professionals.
