  1. Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on data center hardware, including servers, storage devices, and networking equipment.
  2. Monitor and manage equipment performance and identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  3. Install and configure new hardware, including servers, storage devices, and networking equipment.
  4. Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth integration of new hardware into the data center environment.
  5. Ensure the security and stability of data center hardware, including implementing and maintaining security protocols and disaster recovery plans.
  6. Keep detailed and accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance tasks, and service requests.
  7. Create and maintain documentation for data center hardware systems, including standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the data center hardware remains current and efficient.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate maintenance and upgrade schedules and resolve issues.
  10. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to data center hardware emergencies outside of normal business hours.
  11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.
  12. Continuously identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
  13. Provide excellent customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders.
  14. Train and mentor junior team members on data center hardware maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert and resource for data center hardware-related projects and initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Data Center Hardware: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Data Center Hardware, Including Servers, Storage Devices, Routers, Switches, And Other Network Equipment.

  • Troubleshooting Skills: A Data Center Hardware Technician Must Be Able To Identify And Resolve Hardware Issues Quickly And Efficiently. This Includes Diagnosing Problems, Replacing Defective Parts, And Performing Repairs.

  • Experience With Maintenance And Upgrades: The Candidate Should Have Experience With Routine Maintenance Tasks Such As Firmware Updates, Hardware Upgrades, And Equipment Installations.

  • Familiarity With Industry Standards: First Data-Fiserv May Require The Candidate To Have Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Best Practices For Data Center Operations And Hardware Maintenance.

  • Attention To Detail: A Data Center Hardware Technician Must Possess Strong Attention To Detail To Ensure That All Equipment Is Properly Installed, Labeled, And Configured. They Should Also Have The Ability To Document And Track Hardware Inventory Accurately.
