  1. Design, develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our digital banking platforms.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize test cases, perform risk analysis and develop test plans.
  3. Execute automated and manual tests to validate and verify software functionalities and identify defects.
  4. Continuously monitor and analyze test results to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  5. Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports to communicate test results and findings to stakeholders.
  6. Work closely with software developers to understand system architecture, technical requirements and code changes to ensure effective test coverage.
  7. Identify and troubleshoot software issues, provide root cause analysis and work towards timely resolution.
  8. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software development and testing to bring innovative ideas and solutions to the team.
  9. Mentor and train junior team members on testing methodologies, tools and processes.
  10. Collaborate with project managers to estimate testing efforts, track progress and report risks and issues.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or Related Field: A Strong Educational Foundation In Computer Science Is Essential For A Software Development Engineer In Test (Sdet) Role At Fifth Third Bank. A Degree In Computer Science Or A Related Field Will Provide The Necessary Technical Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job Effectively.

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages: Sdets At Fifth Third Bank Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Programming Languages Such As Java, Python, Or C++ To Develop And Maintain Automated Test Scripts. They Should Also Be Able To Write Efficient And Maintainable Code.

  • Experience In Test Automation And Tools: Candidates Should Have Experience In Designing And Developing Automated Test Scripts Using Industry-Standard Tools Such As Selenium, Appium, Or Katalon Studio. Knowledge Of Api Testing And Tools Like Postman Or Soapui Is Also Desirable.

  • Understanding Of Software Development Lifecycle: Sdets Must Have A Good Understanding Of The Software Development Lifecycle To Work Collaboratively With Developers And Ensure Quality Throughout The Development Process. This Includes Knowledge Of Agile Methodologies And Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (Ci/Cd) Practices.

  • Attention To Detail And Problem-Solving Skills: Sdets Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Identify And Troubleshoot Issues In Complex Software Systems. They Should Also Have A Passion For Technology And A Continuous Learning Mindset To Keep Up With The Ever-Changing Landscape Of Software Development And Testing.
