  1. Oversee and manage all financial operations of the organization.
  2. Develop and implement financial strategies to drive growth and success.
  3. Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners.
  5. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations to senior management.
  6. Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, setting clear goals and expectations.
  7. Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management and the board of directors.
  8. Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
  9. Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and initiatives.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve financial processes and operations.
  11. Participate in budget planning and forecasting activities.
  12. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and understanding of financial goals and objectives.
  13. Proactively identify and mitigate financial risks.

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced Knowledge Of Accounting Principles And Practices: A Director Of Accounting At Fifth Third Bank Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Gaap And Other Accounting Standards, As Well As Experience In Financial Reporting And Analysis.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: This Role Requires A Candidate Who Can Effectively Lead And Manage A Team Of Accounting Professionals, Delegate Tasks, And Provide Guidance And Direction.

  • Experience In The Banking Industry: Fifth Third Bank Is A Large Financial Institution, So Experience Working In A Similar Setting Is Preferred. This Includes Knowledge Of Banking Regulations, Compliance Requirements, And Financial Products And Services.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Director Of Accounting Will Need To Communicate Regularly With Internal And External Stakeholders, Including Senior Management, Auditors, And Regulators. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building Relationships And Presenting Financial Information.
