  1. Design, implement, and maintain Snowflake database systems within the company's infrastructure.
  2. Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure maximum efficiency and uptime.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements for new projects.
  5. Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies.
  6. Create and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and data dictionaries.
  7. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance database performance and reliability.
  8. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in Snowflake technology.
  9. Train and mentor junior database administrators on Snowflake best practices.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management to provide updates and resolve issues.
  11. Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and security.
  12. Work with vendors and third-party partners to integrate data systems and troubleshoot any issues.
  13. Collaborate with the security team to ensure database systems meet compliance standards.
  14. Continuously evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance database efficiency and effectiveness.
  15. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and escalate critical issues as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience With Snowflake: A Senior Database Administrator At Fidelity National Information (Fis) Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Snowflake And Be Able To Effectively Manage And Optimize Its Performance For The Organization's Needs.

  • Strong Sql Skills: A Senior Database Administrator Should Possess Advanced Sql Skills To Effectively Query And Manipulate Data In Snowflake. This Includes Expertise In Writing Complex Queries, Stored Procedures, And User-Defined Functions.

  • Experience With Database Architecture And Design: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Database Architecture And Design Principles, Especially In The Context Of Snowflake. This Includes Knowledge Of Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, And Etl Processes.

  • Knowledge Of Cloud Technologies: As Fis Is A Cloud-Based Company, The Senior Database Administrator Should Have Experience Working With Various Cloud Technologies, Including Aws, Azure, And Google Cloud Platform. In Addition, Knowledge Of Snowflake's Integration With These Platforms Is Highly Desirable.

  • Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills: A Senior Database Administrator Should Be Able To Quickly Identify And Resolve Issues That Arise In Snowflake. This Requires Strong Critical Thinking Skills, Attention To Detail, And The Ability To Troubleshoot Complex Technical Problems.
