  1. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with privacy regulations and data protection laws.
  2. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential privacy and data protection risks.
  3. Provide legal guidance and support to various departments and teams on privacy and data protection matters.
  4. Review and negotiate contracts and agreements related to data processing and sharing.
  5. Stay up to date on relevant laws and regulations pertaining to privacy and data protection and communicate any changes or updates to the company.
  6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain privacy and data protection training programs.
  7. Investigate and respond to any privacy and data protection incidents or breaches.
  8. Conduct privacy impact assessments for new projects and initiatives.
  9. Monitor and assess vendor compliance with privacy and data protection requirements.
  10. Serve as the main point of contact for privacy and data protection inquiries and requests from clients and regulatory bodies.
  11. Work closely with the legal team to ensure all privacy-related clauses are included in contracts and agreements.
  12. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all privacy and data protection-related activities.
  13. Provide guidance and support to the company's data protection officer.
  14. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data privacy and protection strategies.
  15. Uphold ethical and legal standards in all privacy and data protection-related matters.
  16. Communicate complex legal concepts and requirements to non-legal stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Privacy And Data Protection Laws: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Privacy And Data Protection Laws, Regulations, And Best Practices, Including Gdpr, Ccpa, And Other Global Data Protection Laws.

  • Legal Experience: A Strong Background In Legal Practice Is Essential For This Position. The Candidate Should Have A Law Degree And Relevant Experience As A Privacy Or Data Protection Counsel, Preferably In The Financial Services Industry.

  • Risk Management Skills: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Risk Management Principles And Be Able To Effectively Assess And Mitigate Potential Privacy And Data Protection Risks For The Organization.

  • Communication And Collaboration: The Privacy & Data Protection Counsel Will Be Responsible For Working Closely With Various Teams And Stakeholders Across The Organization. Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.

  • Compliance And Auditing Experience: Experience With Compliance And Auditing Processes Is Highly Desirable For This Position. The Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Managing Compliance And Audit Processes Related To Privacy And Data Protection.
