
Merchant Underwriting Risk Analyst

- Conduct thorough risk assessments of potential and existing merchant clients, using data analysis and underwriting principles to identify potential risks and determine appropriate risk levels.
- Review and analyze financial statements and credit reports to assess merchant creditworthiness and make recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and evaluate information, identify potential risks, and develop risk management plans for merchant clients.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulatory requirements related to merchant risk management, and implement changes to processes and procedures as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including merchant clients, to ensure effective communication and risk management.
- Monitor and review merchant transactions and activities to identify any potential fraud or suspicious activities, and take appropriate action to mitigate risk.
- Create and maintain reports and documentation related to merchant risk management, and present findings and recommendations to leadership and other stakeholders.
- Continuously assess and improve risk management processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and best practices, to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in risk management, underwriting, and industry trends.
Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Economics, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Merchant Underwriting Or Risk Analysis In The Financial Services Industry.
Strong Understanding Of Credit Risk Assessment Techniques And Regulatory Compliance.
Proficiency In Data Analysis And Statistical Modeling.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams.
