You will also provide technical support and troubleshoot any issues that arise to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our systems.To be successful in this position, we are looking for someone with a strong background in mainframe development and support, along with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.   1. Develop and maintain mainframe systems for Fidelity National Information- FIS, ensuring they are up-to-date and running smoothly.
  2. Troubleshoot any technical issues that arise with our mainframe systems, providing timely and effective solutions.
  3. Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to design and implement new features and enhancements to our mainframe systems.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mainframe technology, and make recommendations for improvement to our systems.
  5. Ensure all mainframe systems are properly documented and adhered to industry standards and best practices.
  6. Work closely with other departments such as IT, finance, and operations to gather requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.
  7. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance the overall team's skill set.
  8. Participate in code reviews and testing to ensure high-quality and error-free code is delivered.
  9. Collaborate with external vendors and partners to integrate mainframe systems with other systems and applications.
  10. Adhere to strict deadlines and project timelines, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders, providing updates and progress reports on projects and tasks.
  12. Continuously identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our mainframe systems.
  13. Comply with all security protocols and procedures to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of our mainframe systems and data.
  14. Keep accurate records and documentation of all mainframe development and support activities.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, representing Fidelity National Information- FIS in a positive light.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Mainframe Systems: A Strong Understanding Of Mainframe Systems, Including Cobol Programming Language, Jcl, Cics, And Db2 Databases, Is Essential For A Mainframe Development And Support Role At Fidelity National Information - Fis.

  • Experience In Application Development And Maintenance: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Developing And Maintaining Applications On Mainframe Systems, Preferably In A Financial Services Environment.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: The Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Complex Technical Issues In A Timely Manner Is Crucial For This Role. Candidates Should Have A Strong Analytical Mindset And Be Able To Think Critically To Identify And Solve Problems.

  • Teamwork And Collaboration: Mainframe Development And Support Often Involves Working With A Team Of Developers, Analysts, And Other It Professionals. The Ability To Work Collaboratively And Communicate Effectively Is Important For Success In This Role.

  • Understanding Of Security And Compliance: Fidelity National Information - Fis Operates In A Highly Regulated Industry, And Candidates Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Security And Compliance Requirements For Mainframe Systems. Experience With Pci Dss, Hipaa, Or Other Industry-Specific Regulations Is A Plus.
