- Develop and implement strategies for automating and modernizing infrastructure processes and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to identify automation opportunities and drive successful implementation.
- Lead and manage a team of automation engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand business needs and prioritize automation efforts accordingly.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in automation and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Monitor and report on the performance of automation initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations in all automation efforts.
- Manage the budget and resources for the automation team, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners to evaluate and implement new automation tools and technologies.
- Develop and maintain documentation and training materials for automation processes and systems.
- Act as a subject matter expert for automation, providing guidance and support to other teams as needed.
- Lead and participate in project planning and execution, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of automation initiatives.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration within the automation team.
- Communicate progress, risks, and challenges to senior leadership, providing recommendations for addressing any issues.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures and promote a culture of compliance within the automation team.
Strong Technical Background: A Director Of Infrastructure Automation At Fis Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Infrastructure Technology, Including Network, Server, And Storage Systems. They Should Also Have Experience With Automation Tools And Platforms, Such As Terraform, Ansible, Or Puppet.
Leadership Skills: As A Director, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Engineers And Technicians. They Must Possess Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Mentor Team Members, And Make Strategic Decisions.
Project Management Experience: Fis Is A Large Organization With Complex Infrastructure Systems. The Director Of Infrastructure Automation Must Have Experience Managing Large-Scale Projects From Conception To Completion, Including Budgeting, Resource Allocation, And Timeline Management.
Communication Skills: This Role Requires Strong Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written. The Director Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, Stakeholders, And Upper Management To Convey Technical Information In A Clear And Concise Manner.
