  1. Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategy for developer experience engineering at Fidelity Investments.
  2. Manage and mentor a team of engineers to deliver innovative tools and services that enhance the productivity and satisfaction of our development community.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations, to drive the execution of our developer experience vision.
  4. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in developer experience and leverage this knowledge to continuously improve and evolve our offerings.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, product owners, and business leaders, to understand their needs and gather feedback on our developer experience.
  6. Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our developer experience tools and services.
  7. Oversee the development and maintenance of documentation, tutorials, and other resources to support our development community.
  8. Define and track key performance indicators to measure the success of our developer experience initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  9. Communicate the value and impact of our developer experience offerings to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  10. Drive a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the developer experience engineering team.
  11. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and recommend new tools and processes to enhance our developer experience.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Software Engineering: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Software Engineering, With A Strong Background In Developing And Delivering High-Quality Software Products.

  • Proven Leadership Skills: As A Director, Developer Experience Engineering, The Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Managing Teams Of Software Engineers To Deliver Complex Projects On Time And Within Budget.

  • Strong Technical Expertise: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Modern Software Development Practices, Including Agile Methodologies, Continuous Integration And Delivery, And Test-Driven Development. They Should Also Have Experience With A Wide Range Of Programming Languages And Frameworks.
