- Conduct regular health assessments and screenings for employees to ensure their overall wellbeing.
- Develop and implement occupational health policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide expert medical advice and guidance to management and employees on occupational health issues.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to identify and mitigate potential health and safety hazards in the workplace.
- Manage and treat occupational injuries and illnesses, including providing referrals for specialized care if needed.
- Educate employees on preventive measures and healthy lifestyle choices to promote a culture of wellness.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and research in the field of occupational health and make recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all employees.
- Conduct trainings and workshops for employees on various health and safety topics.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to occupational health.
- Manage and oversee the occupational health budget, including purchasing necessary equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with external healthcare providers and agencies as needed.
- Communicate with management and employees on a regular basis to address any concerns or issues related to occupational health.
- Serve as a resource and point of contact for employees seeking medical advice or assistance.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor while interacting with employees and colleagues.
Medical Degree: A Qualified Occupational Health Physician At Exxon Mobil Must Possess A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution, Such As A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do).
Board Certification: The Candidate Must Be Board Certified In Occupational Medicine By The American Board Of Preventive Medicine (Abpm) Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Preventive Medicine (Aobpm).
Occupational Health Experience: A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Occupational Medicine Is Required For This Position. Previous Experience In A Corporate Setting Is Preferred.
Knowledge Of Federal Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Federal Regulations, Such As Osha, Dot, And Ada, Related To Occupational Health And Safety.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For This Role. The Occupational Health Physician Will Be Interacting With Employees, Management, And External Stakeholders, And Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate Medical Information And Recommendations.
