  1. Conduct research and development to formulate new and innovative lubricants that meet the needs of Exxon Mobil's global customers.
  2. Utilize your strong background in chemistry and engineering to develop high-quality and effective lubricant formulations.
  3. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in lubricant technology to continuously improve and enhance existing formulations.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and production to ensure successful commercialization of new lubricant products.
  5. Conduct performance testing and analysis to validate the effectiveness and quality of developed formulations.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all formulation development processes and results.
  7. Identify and troubleshoot any issues or challenges that may arise during the formulation development process.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the development of lubricant formulations.
  9. Regularly communicate updates and progress on formulation development to team members and management.
  10. Continuously seek out new and innovative ways to improve lubricant formulations and processes.
  11. Mentor and guide junior team members in the formulation development process.
  12. Represent Exxon Mobil at industry conferences and events to showcase our cutting-edge lubricant formulations.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working in the lab and during field testing.
  14. Collaborate with suppliers to identify and source new and high-quality materials for use in lubricant formulations.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders regarding lubricant formulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Lubricants Formulation Development, Preferably In The Oil And Gas Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Lubricant Properties And Their Impact On Equipment Performance.

  • Experience With Formulating And Testing Different Types Of Lubricants, Including Synthetic And Mineral-Based.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Regulations And Standards, Such As Astm And Iso, Related To Lubricants Formulation And Testing.
