Job Description

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Chemical Process Modeler at Exxon Mobil. This person will have extensive experience in chemical process modeling, as well as an understanding of the fundamentals of process engineering. The ideal candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to effectively communicate complex processes to team members. The Chemical Process Modeler is responsible for developing, validating, and optimizing process models to ensure safe and efficient operation of our chemical plants. This role requires strong analytical and mathematical skills, as well as an understanding of chemical and process engineering principles.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical process modeling• Expertise in process modeling software such as HYSYS, ProMax, Aspen Plus, or similar• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize processes to maximize process efficiency• Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and validate process models to ensure safe and efficient operation of chemical plants.
  2. Utilize process modeling software such as HYSYS, ProMax, Aspen Plus, or similar to troubleshoot and optimize processes.
  3. Analyze and interpret data to maximize process efficiency.
  4. Apply chemical and process engineering principles to solve problems.
  5. Effectively communicate complex processes to team members.
  6. Maintain and update models to reflect changes in process conditions.
  7. Monitor performance of process models and adjust parameters as needed.
  8. Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of models.
  9. Stay up-to-date on new developments in process modeling technology and best practices.
  10. Assist in the development of new process models and processes.
