Job Description

Coordinate, prepare, and review various global indirect sales and lodging tax returns utilizing technology solutions such as Alteryx, Tableau, UIPath, etc. to effectively manage large compliance data sets and coordinate filings with external service provider. Collaborate with other business groups to understand the tax impact of business operations and ensure proper indirect tax obligations are addressed. Perform research and analysis and apply applicable laws to Vrbo’s indirect tax obligations. Communicate and implement findings and resolutions with various internal and external partners. Work with Vrbo customer service operations to assist with resolving indirect tax specific inquiries received from Vrbo Hosts and Guests. Actively engage in day to day activities to facilitate change for the better.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience or a desire to learn basic SQL and Automation tools

  • Thrives and desires to work in a dynamic workspace and has ability and willingness to accept internal and external feedback

  • 1+ years of tax experience in a corporate tax department or public accounting firm

  • CPA license or actively working towards attainment is a plus, but not required
