- Conduct regular security assessments of our products and technology to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement appropriate security measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the implementation of security best practices throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of security protocols, industry standards, and emerging threats to continuously enhance our security posture.
- Act as a subject matter expert on security-related topics and provide guidance and support to other team members.
- Lead the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Monitor and investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies to proactively identify potential risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Conduct security training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and partners to ensure the security of their systems and data when integrated with our products.
- Participate in the design and review of new products and features to ensure security is built into the development process.
- Communicate security-related issues, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Act as a mentor and coach to other team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by the management team.
Extensive Experience In Product Security: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Product Security, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Implementing And Managing Security Programs In A Large Organization.
Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Best Practices: A Strong Understanding Of Industry Standards Such As Iso 27001, Nist, And Owasp, As Well As Knowledge Of Best Practices In Product Security, Is Essential For This Role.
Technical Expertise: The Principal Product Security Engineer Should Be Well-Versed In Various Security Technologies And Tools, Including Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration Testing, And Code Review. Knowledge Of Programming Languages Such As Java, C++, And Python Is Also Preferred.
Leadership And Management Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Of Product Security Engineers, As Well As Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams Within The Organization. Strong Communication, Decision-Making, And Project Management Skills Are Essential.
