- Lead and oversee all aspects of cloud cost optimization for Expedia Group, including developing strategies and implementing initiatives to drive cost efficiency and scalability.
- Utilize expert knowledge of cloud economics to analyze and monitor cloud usage and spending, and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost optimization opportunities across various cloud platforms.
- Create and maintain financial models and forecasts to track cloud spending and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of cloud cost optimization efforts.
- Communicate regularly with senior leadership to provide updates on cost optimization initiatives and progress.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in cloud economics and FinOps to continuously improve and optimize processes.

Strong Financial And Analytical Skills: A Principal Cloud Economist And Finops Professional At Expedia Group Should Possess Excellent Financial And Analytical Skills To Be Able To Analyze And Optimize Cloud Spending And Provide Valuable Insights To Key Stakeholders.
Experience In Cloud Cost Management: The Candidate Should Have A Solid Background In Cloud Cost Management And Finops Practices, Including Budgeting, Forecasting, And Cost Allocation Strategies.
