Legal Counsel

The position will primarily manage individual consumer litigation, build processes and programs to effectively and efficiently manage the costs of defense, and advise business groups on how to best mitigate risks in a competitive environment. Oversee and manage outside counsel for a portfolio of litigation focused on consumer litigation and arbitration. Work closely with paralegals supporting consumer litigation group. Develop and present regular training programs for customer service agents. Advise business groups on risk management issues. Partner with finance team on insurance claims. Provide assistance to senior attorneys on complex litigation matters if requested. Establish and maintain budgets and negotiate fee agreements for outside legal counsel.
