Job Description

Exeter Hospital is looking for an experienced, compassionate Polysomnographic Technologist to join our Sleep Lab. Our ideal candidate should be passionate about helping patients with sleep-related issues and have a commitment to providing excellent patient care. The successful candidate must possess an Associate’s degree in Polysomnography or a related field and be registered or registry-eligible with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists. This is an opportunity to join a team of dedicated professionals committed to providing quality care for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assess patient medical histories and conditions to determine appropriate sleep-related treatments.
  2. Monitor and record patient vitals, sleep patterns, and breathing during sleep studies.
  3. Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Provide patient education on sleep disorders and treatments.
  5. Maintain and update clinical records of patient data.
  6. Assist in the calibration and maintenance of sleep lab equipment.
  7. Assist physicians in interpreting sleep study results.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  9. Comply with all applicable safety and health regulations.
  10. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with patients, families, and other healthcare personnel.
