Job Description

Exeter Hospital is currently looking for a motivated and compassionate Patient Access Representative to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients and their families by ensuring smooth and accurate registration and scheduling of appointments. The ideal candidate will have an unwavering commitment to providing outstanding service and superior patient care, with a friendly and patient-oriented demeanor.To be successful in this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience working in healthcare, and excellent customer service and communication skills. You should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to remain professional and courteous when dealing with difficult situations. Additionally, you should possess strong organizational skills and be comfortable using computers and medical software. Finally, we are looking for a team player who is passionate about helping others and is always willing to go the extra mile.

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet patients and families in a friendly and courteous manner.
  2. Accurately register and schedule appointments for patients.
  3. Collect patient information and update records in medical software.
  4. Verify insurance eligibility and provide financial counseling to patients.
  5. Respond to patient inquiries and explain hospital policies and procedures.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns in a timely manner.
  7. Ensure accurate and timely billing of services.
  8. Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing outstanding service and patient care.
  9. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
  10. Remain knowledgeable of hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
  11. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  12. Demonstrate a positive attitude and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
