
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
At Exeter Hospital, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our growing team. This role requires a professional who understands the importance of providing quality care and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate must be a certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, and must have a current license to practice in the state of New Hampshire. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about their work and is dedicated to providing the highest level of care. The successful applicant will be responsible for the safe and effective use of radioactive materials in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, and will collaborate closely with the Nuclear Medicine Physician to provide quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Administer radioactive materials to patients in a safe and effective manner in accordance with established protocols.
- Conduct tests to diagnose and treat patients according to physician instructions and Nuclear Medicine protocols.
- Document and maintain patient records and results of tests and treatments in accordance with HIPAA and other regulations.
- Utilize nuclear imaging equipment such as gamma cameras, PET scanners, and SPECT scanners.
- Maintain and troubleshoot nuclear imaging equipment as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new protocols and procedures.
- Educate patients on procedures, safety protocols, and related care.
- Advise physicians and other healthcare staff on the appropriate use of radioactive materials.
- Ensure compliance with all Nuclear Medicine regulatory requirements and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and other hospital staff.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Certified By The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (Nmtcb) Or The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Nuclear Medicine Technology
