Job Description

Exelon is looking for a Safety Coordinator who is passionate about protecting the health and safety of our employees and customers. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and a proven track record of developing and implementing safety protocols. If you have a commitment to safety and a desire to lead, we want to hear from you!The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, a minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety-related field, and a comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and compliance. They must be a self-starter who is able to multi-task and work independently with minimal direction. The Safety Coordinator should also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and monitor safety protocols and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations.
  2. Create safety training materials and conduct safety training sessions for employees.
  3. Monitor worksite conditions to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  4. Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
  5. Develop and implement safety initiatives to improve safety performance.
  6. Prepare reports for management on safety performance and safety issues.
  7. Maintain safety records and documentation.
  8. Provide technical advice and guidance to management on safety related matters.
  9. Respond to emergency situations in a timely and effective manner.
  10. Maintain an up to date knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards.

Compensation

According to JobzMall, the average salary range for a Safety Coordinator in Seattle, WA, USA is $54,000 to $86,000 per year. In addition to this base salary range, bonuses, profit-sharing, and other benefits may also be offered.
