Job Description

Safety is a top priority at Exelon, and we are seeking an experienced and motivated Safety Coordinator to join our team in providing a safe and secure work environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational and communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to think quickly and solve problems. In this role, you will be responsible for developing safety policies and procedures, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in safety management or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in a safety-related role. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience with safety management software are highly desired. Responsibilities: • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure work environment. • Monitor the workplace for potential safety hazards and take appropriate corrective action to eliminate or minimize risks. • Conduct safety inspections and record findings and recommendations. • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant health and safety standards. • Train and educate employees on safety protocols and procedures. • Investigate and report on workplace accidents and injuries. • Keep accurate records of safety-related activities and incidents. • Develop and implement safety programs to help reduce the risk of injury and illness in the workplace. • Work with other departments to ensure safety protocols are adhered to. • Monitor safety-related equipment and supplies and recommend replacements or repairs as needed. • Work with external safety consultants and vendors to ensure compliance with safety regulations. • Stay up to date on relevant safety regulations and ensure compliance. • Manage safety management software and create reports as needed.
