Job Description

At Exelon, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Safety Coordinator to join our team! This position provides an opportunity for a motivated individual to play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our staff and operations. The successful candidate will have an excellent track record of developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of three years of experience in safety and health management in a manufacturing or industrial setting. The ideal candidate must have a thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and be able to work effectively with all levels of personnel. Experience with process safety management (PSM) and a working knowledge of environmental management systems (EMS) is highly desirable. The candidate should possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently.This is a great opportunity to join a leading organization in the energy sector. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and regularly update safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations.
  2. Monitor compliance with safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, and investigate safety incidents.
  3. Create and maintain comprehensive safety reports and documentation.
  4. Provide guidance and training to staff on safety policies and procedures.
  5. Inspect worksites and equipment regularly for safety hazards.
  6. Develop and lead safety initiatives to raise awareness among staff.
  7. Investigate safety violations and administer disciplinary action when necessary.
  8. Collaborate with management to ensure safety best practices are implemented.
  9. Assist with the development and implementation of process safety management (PSM) and environmental management systems (EMS).
  10. Monitor and evaluate safety performance metrics.
