Job Description

Exelon is seeking a highly motivated and creative Nuclear Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the safe operation of our nuclear facilities. We are looking for an individual with a passion for engineering and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, along with several years of experience in a nuclear engineering role. They should have a comprehensive understanding of nuclear power plant design, operation, and maintenance. Additionally, they should be knowledgeable in thermal-hydraulics, nuclear reactor physics, and radiation protection. The successful candidate should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement plans to ensure safe operation and maintenance of nuclear facilities.
  2. Monitor and inspect nuclear power plants to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  3. Analyze plant performance data and make recommendations for improvement.
  4. Design and test new nuclear components and systems.
  5. Research and analyze new technologies to improve the efficiency and safety of nuclear power plants.
  6. Provide technical advice and guidance to other engineers and plant personnel.
  7. Develop and implement safety procedures and operational protocols.
  8. Monitor and report on radiation levels and other safety-related issues.
  9. Collaborate with other engineers and technical staff to develop innovative solutions to nuclear engineering problems.
  10. Keep up to date with advancements in nuclear engineering and technology.
