Job Description

At Exelon, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Mechanical Technician to join our team. Our ideal candidate must be able to work independently and possess excellent problem-solving skills. The successful candidate must also be able to interpret and implement safety and operational procedures. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the safe and reliable operation of all equipment and systems.The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude and a minimum of two years of relevant experience in the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and an Associate's degree in mechanical engineering or related field is preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and schematics is essential. The successful candidate must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.If you are organized, have excellent communication skills, and have a strong work ethic, we invite you to join our team at Exelon.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and repair mechanical equipment in a safe and reliable manner.
  2. Interpret and implement safety and operational procedures.
  3. Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
  4. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues.
  5. Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment.
  6. Assist with installation and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment.
  7. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment.
  8. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
  9. Identify and order spare parts and supplies.
  10. Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
