Job Description

We are looking for an Environmental Specialist to join our team at Exelon! This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining environmental compliance and safety programs within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental regulations, exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. If you are passionate about making a positive environmental impact and working with a collaborative team, we would love to hear from you!Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in an environmental science, engineering, or related field• At least 3 years of professional experience in environmental compliance and safety• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Knowledge of applicable federal and state environmental regulations• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities of an Environmental Specialist:

• Develop and maintain environmental compliance and safety programs that adhere to federal and state regulations.

• Conduct environmental audits and assessments to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

• Monitor environmental conditions and provide technical guidance to staff on environmental compliance and safety issues.

• Maintain and update environmental records and reports.

• Monitor and analyze environmental data to identify trends and develop solutions to environmental issues.

• Investigate and respond to environmental incidents.

• Participate in the development and implementation of environmental policies and procedures.

• Research and analyze environmental regulations and provide guidance to staff on regulatory changes.

• Develop and deliver environmental training programs for staff.

• Prepare permit applications and manage permitting processes.

• Participate in public outreach activities to promote environmental awareness.
