Job Description

Exelon is looking for an experienced Environmental Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our Environmental Services team, you will be a key contributor to our mission of providing our customers with reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy solutions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental programs to ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field and at least five years of relevant environmental experience. You must possess a thorough knowledge of environmental regulations, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement environmental programs to ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations.
  2. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing environmental programs.
  3. Analyze data and prepare reports to demonstrate compliance with environmental regulations.
  4. Identify potential environmental hazards and take corrective action.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and other organizations.
  6. Provide environmental training and education to employees and other stakeholders.
  7. Participate in environmental audits and inspections.
  8. Maintain accurate records of environmental compliance activities.
  9. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  10. Monitor changes in environmental regulations and adjust existing programs as needed.
