Job Description

Exelon is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team and help us protect our environment by creating and optimizing sustainable solutions. We're looking for someone who is passionate about the environment and has a strong commitment to sustainability. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring environmental policies, procedures and strategies to ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations.To be successful in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience. You must also have a comprehensive understanding of environmental laws and regulations and how they impact our business activities. In addition, you must have excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.If you are passionate about environmental sustainability and have the necessary skills, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and monitor environmental policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations.
  2. Utilize strong problem-solving skills to identify and evaluate potential environmental risks and develop solutions to mitigate those risks
  3. Provide guidance and support to other departments on environmental regulations
  4. Monitor operations for compliance with environmental regulations and standards
  5. Conduct environmental risk assessments
  6. Develop, implement, and manage environmental programs and initiatives
  7. Analyze data to identify potential environmental issues
  8. Keep up to date on industry best practices for environmental sustainability
  9. Prepare and present reports on environmental regulations and initiatives
  10. Coordinate with external stakeholders and government agencies on environmental matters
