Job Description

At Exelon, we are looking for an experienced and innovative Environmental Engineer who is passionate about making a difference and helping us create a more sustainable future. The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field, and at least 5 years of professional experience in a similar role. The Environmental Engineer will be responsible for leading Exelon's efforts in developing and implementing sustainable solutions that protect and improve the environment. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental regulations, a commitment to environmental excellence, and the ability to think creatively to solve complex problems. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and lead initiatives to improve Exelon's environmental practices and reduce its environmental impact.
  2. Monitor and enforce compliance with applicable state and federal environmental regulations.
  3. Conduct research and analysis to identify sustainable solutions that protect and improve the environment.
  4. Develop and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators, environmental groups, and neighboring communities.
  5. Analyze data and develop reports to document environmental performance and progress.
  6. Increase public awareness of environmental issues and initiatives through outreach campaigns.
  7. Provide technical guidance and support to other departments on environmental issues.
  8. Create and implement environmental policies, procedures, and best practices.
  9. Train and supervise environmental staff and contractors.
  10. Monitor and analyze emerging environmental trends and technologies.
