The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field, and at least 5 years of professional experience in a similar role. The Environmental Engineer will be responsible for leading Exelon's efforts in developing and implementing sustainable solutions that protect and improve the environment. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental regulations, a commitment to environmental excellence, and the ability to think creatively to solve complex problems. Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead initiatives to improve Exelon's environmental practices and reduce its environmental impact.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with applicable state and federal environmental regulations.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify sustainable solutions that protect and improve the environment.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators, environmental groups, and neighboring communities.
- Analyze data and develop reports to document environmental performance and progress.
- Increase public awareness of environmental issues and initiatives through outreach campaigns.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other departments on environmental issues.
- Create and implement environmental policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Train and supervise environmental staff and contractors.
- Monitor and analyze emerging environmental trends and technologies.
