Job Description

Are you an energy trader looking to make the most of your expertise? Exelon is looking for a professional with experience in the energy trading industry to join our team as an Energy Trader. In this role, you'll work closely with other traders, risk managers, and financial analysts to assess energy markets and develop strategies to maximize returns.To be successful in this role, you must have a degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field, plus at least 5 years working in energy trading. You should also have a comprehensive understanding of energy trading regulations and the ability to analyze data to make informed decisions. Excellent communication and critical thinking skills are essential, as you'll need to make decisions quickly and present various scenarios to senior team members.If you possess the qualifications above and have the drive to take on a challenging role in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze energy markets and develop strategies to maximize returns.
  2. Make informed decisions based on data analysis.
  3. Work closely with traders, risk managers, and financial analysts to assess energy markets.
  4. Quickly make decisions and present various scenarios to senior team members.
  5. Adhere to energy trading regulations.
  6. Monitor energy prices and markets to identify opportunities for profits.
  7. Keep up to date with industry trends and new regulations.
  8. Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
  9. Communicate trading strategies and decisions to other team members.
  10. Develop and implement risk management strategies.
