Job Description

We are looking for an energetic, motivated Energy Trader to join the Exelon team! The ideal candidate is knowledgeable and experienced in energy trading and market analysis, and has the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations. You must have a Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field, as well as 3+ years of experience in energy trading. If you are an ambitious professional who is eager to work in a fast-paced environment, then this is the job for you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor energy markets and analyze supply and demand dynamics to identify profitable trading opportunities.
  2. Execute energy trades in a timely and efficient manner to meet financial objectives.
  3. Manage portfolio of energy contracts and ensure adherence to risk limit parameters.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  5. Provide regular market updates and reports to management.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with external counterparties to increase trading opportunities.
  7. Utilize trading software and analytical tools to optimize trading strategies.
  8. Stay up to date with industry regulations and trading laws.
  9. Prepare and present trading proposals to senior management.
  10. Monitor and evaluate performance of trading strategies.
