Communications Specialist

We are looking for a Communications Specialist to join the Exelon team and help us create compelling stories that capture our company’s mission. This position requires strong writing and editing skills, knowledge of media relations, and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be creative and have a passion for communications.The Communications Specialist will be responsible for creating strategic communications plans, writing press releases and other materials, developing messaging and positioning statements, and building relationships with key stakeholders. A successful candidate must possess excellent writing and editing skills, be able to effectively manage multiple projects, and have superior organizational skills. Knowledge of media relations and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is also necessary.We are looking for a professional with excellent interpersonal skills and a creative, collaborative mindset. Responsibilities: • Develop and execute communications plans for Exelon • Write press releases and other materials to promote Exelon’s mission and values • Develop messaging and positioning statements to ensure consistency in communications • Build relationships with key stakeholders, media contacts, and other individuals to facilitate communications efforts • Manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all written materials • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in communications • Exercise excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with other members of the team • Utilize creative tactics and strategies to create compelling stories that capture Exelon’s mission
