Communications Specialist

Exelon is seeking an experienced Communications Specialist to join our team. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and writing skills, as well as an enthusiastic attitude and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field, and at least three years of experience in a communications-related role.The Communications Specialist will be a key member of the Exelon Communications team, playing an integral role in the development and implementation of Exelon’s internal and external communications. This position requires an individual with strong organizational skills, a creative eye, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.Reporting directly to the Director of Communications, the Communications Specialist will play a key role in the development, execution, and evaluation of both internal and external communications initiatives. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong eye for detail, as well as a demonstrated ability to develop and implement communications plans in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement internal and external communications plans for Exelon.
2. Work with the Director of Communications to create and deliver communications initiatives.
3. Write and edit communications materials, including press releases, internal announcements, and marketing collateral.
4. Manage and coordinate media relations activities.
5. Monitor and analyze media coverage of Exelon and its competitors.
6. Act as an information resource for media inquiries.
7. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and media outlets.
8. Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of communications programs.
9. Utilize social media to communicate with the public and promote Exelon’s activities.
10. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in communications.
