Job Description

At Esri, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. As a Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the agile process and ensuring the successful delivery of our software products.   1. Facilitate the Agile Process: The Scrum Master will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the Agile process by facilitating all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospective meetings.
  2. Ensure Successful Delivery: The primary responsibility of the Scrum Master will be to ensure the timely and successful delivery of high-quality software products by guiding the team through the Agile process and removing any impediments that may arise.
  3. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: The Scrum Master will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and stakeholders, to prioritize and deliver product features that meet customer needs.
  4. Drive Innovation: The Scrum Master will play a key role in driving innovation by encouraging continuous improvement, identifying areas for process optimization, and implementing new and effective Agile practices.
  5. Strong Understanding of Scrum Framework: It is essential for the Scrum Master to have a deep understanding of the Scrum framework and be able to guide the team in its implementation, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and best practices.
  6. Lead Agile Teams: The Scrum Master will provide leadership to the Agile team, promoting a collaborative and self-organizing work environment that fosters creativity and innovation.
  7. Coach and Mentor Team Members: The Scrum Master will coach and mentor team members in Agile methodologies, helping them understand their roles and responsibilities and ensuring that they are following Agile practices effectively.
  8. Communicate Progress and Roadblocks: The Scrum Master will be responsible for communicating the team's progress and any roadblocks to stakeholders, product owners, and other relevant parties to ensure transparency and alignment.
  9. Monitor and Track Team Performance: The Scrum Master will monitor and track team performance, including velocity and burn-down charts, and provide regular updates to stakeholders to ensure project progress and delivery are on track.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Scrum Master (Csm) Or Professional Scrum Master (Psm) Certification

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In A Scrum Master Role, Preferably In A Software Development Environment

  • Strong Understanding Of The Agile Methodology And The Scrum Framework

  • Excellent Communication And Facilitation Skills, Able To Effectively Lead And Coach Cross-Functional Teams

  • Familiarity With Esri's Products And Services, As Well As The Gis Industry, Is A Plus
