Design and develop scalable and efficient data pipelines using Java.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that meets coding standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot and debug issues with data pipelines and provide timely solutions.
Optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in backend technology.
Work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Document technical specifications and system design for data pipelines.
Continuously improve and streamline data processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy and manage data pipelines in production environments.
Identify and resolve potential security vulnerabilities in backend systems.
Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.

Job Qualifications

Strong Understanding Of Java Programming Language: A Backend Java Engineer At Esri Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Java And Its Core Concepts, Such As Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, And Algorithms.
Experience With Data Pipelines And Etl Processes: The Role Requires Experience In Designing And Implementing Data Pipelines For Processing And Transforming Large Datasets. Knowledge Of Etl Tools And Techniques Is Also Essential.
Proficiency In Database Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Database Concepts And Experience Working With Relational Databases Such As Oracle, Mysql, Or Sql Server.
Familiarity With Big Data Technologies: As Esri Deals With Large Volumes Of Geospatial Data, Knowledge Of Big Data Technologies Such As Hadoop, Spark, And Kafka Is Crucial For This Role.
