  1. Conduct state and local tax compliance reviews and consultations for real estate clients.
  2. Stay updated on state and local tax laws and regulations to provide accurate and timely advice to clients.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional service.
  4. Assist in the preparation and review of tax returns, including analysis and reconciliation of tax accounts.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and colleagues to provide integrated services to clients.
  6. Identify and propose tax planning opportunities for clients to optimize their tax positions.
  7. Conduct research and provide technical guidance on complex state and local tax issues.
  8. Communicate with tax authorities on behalf of clients to resolve any tax inquiries or audits.
  9. Mentor and train junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  10. Contribute to business development efforts by participating in proposal development and client presentations.
  11. Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all work performed.
  12. Adhere to EY's professional standards and core values in all interactions and engagements.
  13. Actively participate in firm-wide initiatives and programs to enhance the overall success of the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In State And Local Tax, Preferably In The Real Estate Industry

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of State And Local Tax Laws And Regulations, Specifically Related To Real Estate Transactions

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Apply Tax Concepts To Complex Real Estate Transactions

  • Cpa Or Other Relevant Professional Certification (E.g. Cmi, Cmi-Real Estate) Is A Plus.
