
Receptionist Per Diem
Welcome to Ernest Health! We are currently seeking a reliable and personable Receptionist to join our team on a per diem basis. As the first point of contact for our facility, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills to provide a warm and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting. - Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls and take accurate messages.
- Check patients in and out, verify insurance information, and collect co-pays.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide necessary information and assistance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and patient flow.
- Handle all incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Keep accurate records and files of patient information and ensure confidentiality.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and ordering supplies.
- Handle inquiries and provide information about the facility and its services.
- Handle difficult situations or individuals with patience and professionalism.
- Follow all safety and infection control protocols.
- Attend training and meetings as required.

Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Receptionist Per Diem Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Visitors, And Staff In A Friendly And Professional Manner.
Strong Organizational And Multitasking Abilities: As A Per Diem Receptionist, You May Be Responsible For Handling Multiple Tasks And Managing A Busy Schedule, So Being Organized And Able To Prioritize Is Essential.
Familiarity With Medical Terminology And Procedures: Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Basic Healthcare Practices Is Important In Order To Accurately Schedule Appointments And Assist Patients With Inquiries.
Proficiency In Office Software And Equipment: A Receptionist Per Diem Should Be Comfortable Using Computers, Printers, And Other Office Equipment, As Well As Have Experience With Software Such As Microsoft Office.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: While Not Always Required, Having Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Environment Can Be Beneficial For A Receptionist Per Diem, As It Demonstrates An Understanding Of The Industry And Its Unique Needs.
