  1. Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently according to established protocols and guidelines.
  2. Ensure proper labeling, storage, and inventory management of all medications in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  3. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
  4. Maintain accurate and thorough records of all medication transactions and patient information.
  5. Monitor and report any medication errors or adverse drug reactions to the appropriate individuals.
  6. Educate patients and caregivers on medication usage, side effects, and proper storage.
  7. Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  8. Participate in medication reconciliation and assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  9. Stay updated on current pharmacy practices, laws, and regulations to ensure compliance.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  11. Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure timely and accurate medication delivery to patients.
  12. Assist with other pharmacy duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Pharmacy Technician-Prn At Ernest Health Must Possess A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Demonstrate A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge.

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) Credential: A Cpht Credential Is Required To Ensure That The Candidate Has The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Perform The Duties Of A Pharmacy Technician-Prn.

  • Previous Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting: Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Environment Will Be Beneficial In Understanding The Specific Needs And Processes Of A Pharmacy In A Healthcare Facility.

  • Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills: As A Pharmacy Technician-Prn, It Is Essential To Have Excellent Communication Skills To Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. A Customer Service Mindset Is Also Crucial In Providing Quality Care To Patients.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy: Working With Medications Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail And Accuracy. A Pharmacy Technician-Prn Must Be Able To Follow Instructions Precisely And Carefully Handle Medications To Ensure Patient Safety.
