
Per Diem - Physical Therapist Assistant

- Provide high-quality physical therapy services to patients in accordance with established treatment plans and protocols.
- Collaborate with the supervising Physical Therapist to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises to facilitate recovery and prevent future injuries.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice in the field of physical therapy.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge summaries.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Comply with all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and advancements in the field of physical therapy.
- Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients and their families, and actively contribute to creating a positive and supportive treatment environment.
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality in all patient interactions.
- Adhere to the organization's code of conduct and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and other professional development opportunities.
- Proactively identify and address any issues or concerns related to patient care or facility operations.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to attendance, punctuality, and dress code.
Active State Licensure: Candidates For A Per Diem - Physical Therapist Assistant Job At Ernest Health Must Possess An Active And Valid State Licensure To Practice As A Physical Therapist Assistant In The Particular State Where The Facility Is Located.
Minimum Education And Training: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Physical Therapy Assistant Program From An Accredited Institution Is Required For This Position. In Addition, Candidates Must Have Completed The Necessary Clinical Training And Be Certified By The National Physical Therapy Examination (Npte) Board.
Previous Experience: While Not Always Required, Previous Experience As A Physical Therapist Assistant Is Highly Preferred For This Position. Candidates With At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Similar Setting Will Be Given Preference.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Per Diem - Physical Therapist Assistant, The Individual Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Their Families, And The Interdisciplinary Healthcare Team.
Ability To Work Flexibly: The Nature Of A Per Diem Position Requires The Individual To Be Available To Work On An As-Needed Basis, Which May Include Weekends And Holidays. Therefore, Candidates Must Possess The Ability To Work Flexibly And Adapt To Changing Schedules.
