- Assist the therapy team in delivering quality rehabilitation services to patients, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor and document patients' progress and communicate any changes or concerns to the therapy team.
- Help patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating, while promoting independence and respecting their privacy and dignity.
- Monitor and report any changes in patients' vital signs, behavior, or condition to the therapy team.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families, showing empathy and compassion during difficult times.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Assist with transportation of patients to and from therapy sessions, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings to stay updated on best practices and new techniques in patient care.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Minimum Education And Training: A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For This Position. Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting Or Completion Of A Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Or Patient Care Technician (Pct) Program Is Preferred.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures Is Essential For A Patient Care Tech-Therapy Position. This Includes Knowledge Of Common Medical Conditions, Medications, And Procedures Related To Therapy And Rehabilitation.
Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills: Patient Care Tech-Therapists Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Work Effectively With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Must Also Be Able To Provide Emotional Support To Patients And Their Families During The Rehabilitation Process.
Physical Stamina And Strength: This Job Requires A Lot Of Physical Activity, Including Assisting Patients With Transferring, Walking, And Performing Therapy Exercises. Candidates Must Have The Physical Stamina And Strength To Perform These Tasks, As Well As The Ability To Lift And Move Patients When Necessary.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Patient Care Tech-Therapists Must Be Cpr And Bls Certified To Respond To Emergency Situations. This Certification Can Be Obtained Through The American Heart Association Or The Red Cross.
