Job Description

As a Patient Care Tech, you will play a vital role in assisting our patients with their daily living activities and providing them with the support and care they need during their recovery journey.   1. Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  2. Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
  3. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients during their recovery.
  4. Assist with patient transfers and mobility using proper lifting and transferring techniques.
  5. Ensure patient rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  7. Observe and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff.
  8. Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
  9. Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients who need assistance.
  10. Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  11. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and needs.
  12. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
  13. Attend required training and education programs to maintain and improve job skills.
  14. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  15. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Education Requirement: A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, With Preference Given To Candidates Who Have Completed A Certified Patient Care Technician Program.

  • Relevant Work Experience: Prior Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably As A Patient Care Technician, Nursing Assistant, Or Medical Assistant.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members In A Professional And Empathetic Manner.

  • Basic Medical Knowledge: Understanding Of Basic Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Equipment Used In Patient Care, Such As Taking Vital Signs, Assisting With Activities Of Daily Living, And Performing Basic Medical Procedures.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Must Be Able To Multitask, Prioritize, And Work Efficiently In A Busy Healthcare Setting, While Maintaining A High Level Of Accuracy And Attention To Detail.
