  5. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.

  7. Assist with patient transportation and transfers.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Patient Care Tech At Ernest Health Should Possess A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education To Ensure Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: A Cna Certification Is Required For A Patient Care Tech Position At Ernest Health To Demonstrate Competency In Providing Basic Patient Care, Such As Taking Vital Signs, Assisting With Activities Of Daily Living, And Reporting Patient Status To Healthcare Professionals.

  • Cpr/Bls Certification: A Valid Cpr/Bls Certification Is Necessary For A Patient Care Tech Role At Ernest Health To Be Able To Respond To Emergency Situations And Perform Life-Saving Techniques If Needed.

  • Previous Healthcare Experience: Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Long-Term Care Facility, Is Preferred For A Patient Care Tech At Ernest Health. This Experience Can Demonstrate Familiarity With Patient Care Procedures And Protocols.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For A Patient Care Tech At Ernest Health To Effectively Interact With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Team Members. This Includes Being Able To Communicate Clearly And Compassionately, As Well As Being Able To Work Well In A Team Environment.
