- Assist nursing staff in daily tasks and procedures, such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and assisting with patient hygiene.
- Provide compassionate and quality care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.

Completion Of A Nursing Assistant Or Patient Care Technician Training Program: Candidates For This Position Should Have Completed A Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Program Or A Patient Care Technician (Pct) Training Program. This Will Ensure That They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Provide Basic Patient Care.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Nursing Students Applying For This Job Should Be Certified In Basic Life Support (Bls) Techniques. This Will Ensure That They Are Equipped To Handle Emergency Situations And Provide Life-Saving Interventions If Necessary.
Clinical Experience In A Medical Setting: Prior Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Long-Term Care Facility, Is Preferred For This Role. This Will Demonstrate The Candidate's Familiarity With Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Equipment.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Nursing Student – Patient Care Technician, The Candidate Will Be Interacting With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building Relationships And Providing Quality Care.
Ability To Multitask And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: This Job Requires The Candidate To Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously While Working In A Fast-Paced Environment. Nursing Students Should Be Able To Prioritize Their Responsibilities And Work Efficiently Under Pressure To Ensure The Safety And Well-Being Of Their Patients.
