5. Monitor and track patient records for completeness and accuracy, following up as needed.
6. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and records.
7. Utilize strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately code and categorize patient information.
8. Ensure all records are properly labeled and filed for easy retrieval.
9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
10. Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
11. Assist with training and onboarding of new HIM clerks.
12. Keep up-to-date with changes in healthcare regulations and laws related to medical records.
13. Identify and report any issues or concerns with patient records to the appropriate staff members.
14. Maintain a neat and organized work area to ensure efficient record keeping.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Health Information Management Supervisor.
