In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring our patients receive the proper nutrition and dietary care they need to recover and thrive. As a Diet Aide, you will work closely with our skilled healthcare team to provide excellent patient care and support.   1. Prepare and serve meals and snacks to patients according to their prescribed diet plan.
  2. Monitor and document patients' food and fluid intake, including any changes or concerns.
  3. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized nutrition plans for patients.
  4. Educate patients and their families on proper nutrition and dietary needs.
  5. Maintain inventory and stock of dietary supplies and equipment.
  6. Follow all safety and sanitation protocols in the kitchen and dining areas.
  7. Observe and report any changes in patients' dietary needs or concerns to the appropriate healthcare personnel.
  8. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.
  9. Adhere to all dietary restrictions and special diets for patients.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  11. Attend and participate in team meetings and trainings related to nutrition and dietary care.
  12. Collaborate with food service staff to ensure timely delivery of meals to patients.
  13. Follow all dietary guidelines and regulations set by the facility and governing bodies.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow all HIPAA regulations.
  15. Continuously strive to improve the quality of dietary care provided to patients.
