- Conduct thorough research and analysis of existing patents to ensure the originality and uniqueness of our ideas and technologies.
- Draft and file patent applications for our innovative ideas and technologies.
- Work closely with our engineering and research teams to understand the intricacies of our products and technologies.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of patent laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Provide strategic guidance and advice to internal stakeholders on patent protection and enforcement.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel and patent agents to ensure the timely and accurate filing of patent applications.
- Manage and maintain a portfolio of patents, including monitoring and responding to office actions, conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate searches, and handling patent maintenance fees.
- Conduct patent infringement analyses and prepare legal opinions on potential patent infringements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments related to patent law and intellectual property.
- Train and educate company employees on patent protection and procedures.
- Participate in patent litigation and other legal proceedings related to intellectual property.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of all patent-related activities.
- Represent the company in front of patent examiners, patent offices, and other relevant agencies.
- Ensure compliance with all ethical and legal standards while performing patent-related duties.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of patent-related policies and procedures within the company.
Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School
Admission To Practice Before The United States Patent And Trademark Office (Uspto)
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Patent Prosecution And/Or Litigation
Strong Understanding Of Intellectual Property Law, Specifically In The Telecommunications And Technology Industries
Excellent Written And Oral Communication Skills, With The Ability To Communicate Complex Legal Concepts To Non-Legal Stakeholders.
